I think the extra long cord would be so nice - I always have to unplug and move the cord across the room when I'm vacuuming. Sounds like there are lots of great features to this vacuum. Thanks.

February 18, 2009 12:22 PM
The Patented WindTunne Technology utilizes three distinct air channels to lift and remove the hidden, deep down dirt that other vacuums leave behind is a great feature
mverno@roadrunner.com
February 18, 2009 12:33 PM
I like the extra long cord length. It's a pain having to stop vacuuming and change outlets.
February 18, 2009 12:40 PM
I would like to have a light that tells when it thinks the carpet is clean!
February 18, 2009 12:41 PM
My current vaccuum is over 35 years old. It was fun to read about the features new vaccuums have!!! The feature that impresses me most is the onboard hose and attachments. Right now, when I clean my house, I have two vaccuums out - the canister vac for all the tile and the creavaces around my house, and then the upright for my carpet. The long cord would also be a nice feature, as I'm constantly jockeying around outlets when I use my vaccuum now.
February 18, 2009 12:46 PM
What a great vacuum with so many great features. . mine is so old & dated that I would really love to win this and check them out for myself. The feature I think I would like the most is the red/green light system for letting you know when the area you are working on is clean. Often, I've gone over an area several times without knowing whether I really needed to, or just done a once over without knowing if that was really enough; how great to take the guesswork out! Thanks for sponsoring this cool giveaway!

much prefer bagged vacuums over bagless!
February 18, 2009 1:00 PM
I absolutely love the cord feature -- that you didn't have to constantly unplug and replug. That's one of my least favorite things that takes time out of the vacuuming itself. Thanks for a chance to win!
February 18, 2009 1:05 PM
Darn! Merrie took mine! I swear I read your review, and the one thing that stood out to me the most was the cord length. I vacuum a lot with 5 kids running around, tracking dirt and tearing up little bits of paper. I would love a new Hoover!!
February 18, 2009 1:05 PM
I have to say I love the extra long cord and that the switch is located on the top. We could so use a new vacuum and this sounds so wonderful. It sounds like even I could assemble it. Thank you!

February 18, 2009 1:14 PM
I love the fact that it has a red light indicating the carpet is still dirty and green for clean..also, we go from carpet to hardwood to carpet again in my house and it would be great to not have to adjust anything...just keep on vacuuming! Shamrocker99 at aol dot com
February 18, 2009 1:14 PM
My husband does most of the vacuuming in our house (due to a medical reason on my part). He has gone through three vacuums in the yrs since we have been married (10). I love the fact that this vacuum has an embedded dirt finder. Oh this will so help in getting the carpet looking better.

Next as I really started looking over the features I noticed that the on/off button is right up at the top under the handle so you can reach down with your thumb and turn it on off, no need to bend over to flip a switch.
This comment intrigued me as I am getting a little older and it is not as easy to bend over like it use to be. Thanks so much for the tip and the contest. r

I liked what you said about the cord not being too short. I hate that and I have a Sears vacuum that has this short cord and is so hard to push it gives me pain and I already have arthritis so that is not good. I also like you said it is self-propelled and I would love that as it would halp me out alot!
February 18, 2009 1:55 PM
it has many great features, but the one, based on your review, that I would most appreciate is the fact that it's self propelled........
February 18, 2009 2:32 PM

With many issues from being a court reporter, I would love the self-propelling aspect. "Also right up at the top on the handle is the self-propel feature. This feature is great for those of us who don't want to feel like we are fighting with all our might to push a vacuum. With the Self-Propel feature on it literally feels like you are gliding across air."
I have Hoover-envy. I would love to glide across air!
Thanks for the opportunity.

Great review. Now I want one! I like the 31' power cord. Mine is about 24 feet right now and I have to keep unplugging it and replugging it. Thanks!
February 18, 2009 3:03 PM
I like the bag full indicator feature. No more guessing.
February 18, 2009 3:08 PM
I have always wanted a Hoover!! The self propelling feature is awesome for me. Bad back. The long chord is good too!

If I won this, I would donate it to our church, which desperately needs a new one! (Plus my mom is the one who cleans it) =)

It is self propelled which is great when you are old. It has a long cord so no more struggling with that. It has a sensor light to get unseen dirt plus it gets down deep dirt to start with.I'm convinced it would be a great vacuum. Also it has a warranty of 3 years.

The feature I like the best is that you can move from carpet to bare floors with ease (the Custom Cleaning Control). We pulled up our old carpet to find wooden floors underneath but also have some room sized rugs and runners we're using now, so this feature would be ideal!
February 18, 2009 4:16 PM
I love the idea of a self-propelling vacuum. It's almost like the vacuum is doing the work by itself with me just guiding it.
Nice contest.

Great review! Wow so many nice features to have on a vacuum. I think I am most impressed with the Hidden dirt sensor. Imagine, a vacuum that knows when you got it all. The full bag indicator is also great to have.
What a wonderful product.

This vacuum really sounds wonderful. I loved your review of it. You gave so much informative information. Thanks so much for this giveaway.

the movement form bare floors to carpet
February 18, 2009 5:23 PM
I love that the vaccums red and green buttons let you know if you've managed to get all the dirt from the area; and that it has two settings the high/regular that button lets you pick if you want to pick up mainly the "surface" dirt, or if you want to search for the nicely embedded into your carpet dirt. I have to agree with the others. An extra long cord would be very handy. I tend to vacuum and vacuum and eventually just pull the plug out of the wall when I have gone too far.
February 18, 2009 5:39 PM
With as tiny as my house is you wouldn't think it would be a problem, but I have to unplug my vacuum and replug it 3 times to vacuum the whole place. I'd love to have a longer cord. Thanks!

The HEPA filter hands down. I need it. I have a cat and a dog, and I'm really sensitive to dust. It also doesn't help that our current vacuum cleaner sucks, and not it a good way.

I love this feature - "it will remain red until it "feels" like there is no more dirt in that area and then it will change to green, so you know you are really getting your carpet clean with this vacuum." What an intelligent vaccum cleaner! I have never seen this feature in other cleaners and for this alone, would LOVE to win it.
Thanks for this great giveaway!

I like the long power cord. I don't like having to stop so often to plug it in.

Pushing the vacuum is the hardest thing about vacuuming, so it would be the thing I love most about this vacuum.
February 18, 2009 9:57 PM
love that its self propelled

I love vacuuming, I admit it.It's so satisfying when you're done and everything looks so much nicer when the carpet is clean. Every vacuum I've ever bought myself has been a Hoover. The best vacuum for the money hands down. I like the easy assembly too, could probably let one of the kids do it!

I learned from your review that there is an 8 ft. stretch to the hose, which is great. Even more important, I learned it only takes two screws to put this baby together. I can do that!

I like that the high/regular button lets you pick if you want to pick up mainly the surface dirt or if you want to search for the nicely embedded into your carpet dirt and it turns green when it has picked up all the dirt.
